2011-2012 RCA Committees

Committees are organized under the RCA strategic 'pillars' of People, Knowledge, and Message.  The Nominations and Board Development Committee and RCA's Affiliated Corporations are organized independently of these pillars. 

The Executive Committee is comprised of the elected RCA president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, and is chaired by the president.

Membership Committee

Help RCA grow!  Recruitment and retention are the main goals of this committee.  Committee members will assist with getting the word out about RCA and the benefits of membership to potential members, and will help ensure that current members are satisfied with their membership.

Education Committee

As one of the primary goals of the RCA, education plays a vital role in the future of Culinology®.  RCA is currently looking for interested individuals to help ensure the success of Culinology degree programs and continuing education courses.  Opportunities are available for qualified Culinology instructors to participate in RCA’s Continuing Education Workshops.

Sponsorship Committee

RCA’s Sponsorship Committee raises money to fund RCA programs and member services, and their continuous improvement.  Members of this committee will seek new sponsors and ensure current sponsors’ satisfaction.

Are you interested in the inner workings of the association process?  The NBDC oversees the nominations and elections process for RCA. This committee operates outside of the RCA strategic pillars.

Research Chefs Association Certification Commission

Members of this independent commission are involved with the Certified Research Chef (CRC) and Certified Culinary Scientist (CCS) certification programs.
